For all these highs and lows, the submitting of poems is highly addictive; this last weekend of the half term break, I’ve rattled off and sent a children’s dinosaur poem on the advice of a poetry friend, sent film poems to Magma/Edinburgh University and found two promising new publications where there’s a (small) possibility of joy. All this and One Called Paul coming out in Riggwelter next Tuesday as well as being accepted for publication by Fair Acre Press next year (alongside poems by Andrew McMillan, Brian Bilston, Carrie Etter and Kaite O’Reilly) … #WooHoo
Hoping that November will be as busy a month as October proved to be:
November 18th Kendal Mountain Festival with Karen Lloyd, Helen Mort, Luke Brown, Simon Sylvester et al.
November 25th Brewery Arts Centre Verbalise … opportunity to showcase a range of stuff (new and old) to the lovely Warehouse audience. #DoCome
